My husband has detoxed twice of oxy now in last 2 months using suboxone. When he stopped the subxone the 1st time ( 6 days in detox clinic), he became violent, smashing things and threatening me, after the 4th day or so of ending suboxone. he was extremely depressed the day before. he has not been violent
at all while using oxy, xanax or anything else. The 1st time he stayed clean 2 weeks and then relapsed to oxys for 1 week and then saw shrink who subscribed suboxone. yesterday he was very depressed again and today he smashed 10 plates. Any connection ??

What I have read the addiction to suboxone can make people more violent than they usually are. Oxy is a more powerful drug so it would mellow him out more. The symptoms for sub withdrawl is vomiting, sweats, restlessness, pain, anxiety. So he might be violent due to the feelings he is having at the time.
Irritability is a huge symptom they have,so I can assume his maybe goes one step further and is causing violence.

Be careful around him at this time just so you don't get hurt. I think it is great he is trying to get help. That is a big step. You standing by him thru it all is awesome!!!

I hope things get better. We are here for you both.
