What can the ER do?

"I know many of you have probably admitted yourselves to the ER, so I'm asking....does it help? I'm writing for my husband and his headache has been at about a 9 for about 2 days. His neurologist put him on a prednisone pack(a week ago) which isn't touching it. I think he should just admit himself for some sort of pain relief. Any thoughts??"
