"I don't really understand what the difference is between an LLMD and a doctor that deals with infectious diseases. Is the LLMD solely specialized on Lyme, and does nothing else?
And why is an infectious disease doctor not the best choice for treating Lyme? Is it because they don't follow the long-term antibiotics protocol?
From my hard, but short experience with Lyme, I still don't understan"

"Hi, I just found this group and am really happy that I did. Here's my situation. While watching TV a few weeks ago I remembered feeling a new "mole" under my right arm... didn't think much about it until it was gone one day with a pencil eraser sized spider bite like rash in it's place. Was thinking spider or chigger. After the rash started expanding I finally got smart and reali"

"Well, went to my LLMD visit. I don't even know where to begin. I was pretty upset the whole way home. I am not sure I can put this into coherant sentances, so I am just going to ramble....
it's sounds as though most his patients are treated for 3-6 months....
I had given him the list of symptoms of which I circled nearly every single one of them....I really thought that by his looking at"

"Does anyone know a Lyme specialist in the Houston area? I have only had one test done by my PCP (at my request) and I didn't know enough about it at the time to find out even what type of test he did. I have already been through the medical ringer, and apparently I'm perfectly healthy. However, I feel lousy. I have joint pain, tremor, fatigue, general achiness, especially down my neck and ba"

"I’m a little puzzeled about this...... The daughter of one of my co-workers was diagnosed with lyme disease some time ago, and that’s the first time I ever heard of this condition. Is it treatable? Can it be fatale? How serious is it? Now that I see even a support group, I’m really intreegued and I’d like some more info. Thanks."
