Every cell contains your genetic information in its nucleus. The genes you inherited from your mother and father are largely responsible for how your body and mind behave and they are like an instruction book of controls for your bodily functions. The risk of contracting breast cancer has shown to increase when inheriting certain genes that contain an anomaly that may result in uncontrolled cancerous cell growth. It is not certain that if you have inherited these genes you will contract the disease, but studies have shown that in this case your risk is double that of people with no genetic heredity history.
