Statistics, statistics, statistics. Getting the numbers is not always enough, understanding them is what counts.
Every woman is at risk of contracting breast cancer. Over a 90 years life span the risk of getting breast cancer is 14% for women. This means one in seven women on average will get breast cancer. There is of course another way to look at this data - 14% risk means there is 86% chance one will NOT get breast cancer. This article is meant to look at various risk factors and how much effect preventive measures have on reducing the risk.
