Hello. My name is Patti. I am a 54 y/o wife/grandmother/awesome chick who has suffered peripheral neuropathy and fibromyalgia for 4 years now. Three years ago I had to quit work. Last year my disability claim was approved. I have gone through several standard neuropathy tests now, still the doctors have not pinpointed the cause of my condition.

I am here on MD Junction to offer support and the knowledge I've gained to others who suffer from this hideous disease, as well as glean support and knowledge from others. I've found it helps to talk to people who actually understand what I'm going through.

As a neuropathy patient its been tough dealing with the pain, I have been to every kind of doctor on the market and it seems there isnt much that can be done medically. I am now looking into other less traveled roads for the (cure) such as hematologist because it seems that most of my problems exist with blood born illness's such as diabetes and small vessel disease. I have been a MDJunction member for some time and they have been a blessing to me when it comes to support and advice from so many other members. I encourage all of to work together and get the word out about these illness that can be prevented.
