Parental Alienation Syndrome Support Group

This article was written by a Judge who works primarily with PAS cases.  She makes some good points, in that I understand that many targeted parents have difficulty in court, because of the tremendous burden they are under.

I hope this helps anyone who is working through the Family Court System.  That in itself is a nightmare, so we don't want to do anything to be seen in the wrong light.

There is much written about the fact that Parental Alienation is emotional abuse both on the children who are used as weapons to get revenge on the alienator's ex-spouse and also the long term damaging effects on children of alienating parents.  To a much lesser degree do you read about the extreme pain and consequences of the suffering target parents.  To a target parent every day feels like a lifetime of torture.  The void of having their children stolen by deciet and manipulation is one level of suffering.  On top of that, the target parent knows that their children are being abused and stripped from ever being able to reach their potential and they will never feel the spark of true joy again.  The only element in society that I have found to help others understand the gravity of losing one's children, is in the movie, Sophie's Choice.
