panic-womanSocial anxiety disorder, also called social phobia is an anxiety form that is clearly related to social situations and fear of other people. This is not like being shy or having stage fright – this is a chronicle fear of social related situations. After all it is perfectly normal to be anxious sometimes, as long as anxiety doe not rule your life.
Social anxiety disorder is set apart from daily nervousness by its severity. It can have physical and emotional symptoms.
Emotional symptoms of social phobia include: 1 – Fear of situations in which strangers will surround you.
2 – Fear of being embarrassed or humiliated (in public).
3 – Fear of being judges (by other people).
4 – Fear of others noticing your anxiety.
As you can see the source of anxiety is society. This may cause:
5 – Anxiety attacks that disrupt your daily routine.

Physical symptoms of social phobia include:
1 – Nausea
2 – Sweating
3 – Blushing
4 – Stomach aches
5 – Stress muscle
6 – Difficulty talking
7 – Trembling
8 – Palpitations
9 – Diarrhea
10- Confusion

Social phobia can demonstrate itself in a very specific situation, such as eating in front of other people, or in a more general way. The most severe cases are when one has an acute fear of being next to another person.

Social phobia sufferers know that their worry is not proportional to the situation. However, they cannot control their anxiety when facing certain social conditions, so they may avoid them. This will only make the disorder worse. Although you may not suffer anxiety on the short term, because of the lack of triggering situations, the anxiety itself will linger longer, and will dominate your preventive actions and lifestyle as a result.
