MDJunction to me

2steveb" In life we all have trials and tribulations to endure weather it be physical, mental or social. For me personally when i encountered MDJunction i was astounded. Since i joined MDJunction to me it has been a god send and a life saver. I have met and been able to converse freely with so many people in the same situation as myself, (that alone is a big help, to know your not alone) to be able to discuss and get good advice from a braud section of people. One of lifes hardest things is to discuss personal issues with friends/family and yet the mdj family is non judgmental and you will be made totally welcome to talk through any issue thats on your mind. There are forums for every known issue to mankind, to me MDJ.com has become my family extension, id be lost without these good people and the extremely good guide lines that group leaders help us all with to keep threads topical and friendly." OCD poem to my son.(written by me)
Written by krissyjoe
27 January 2013

This is a poem written by me that expresses the pain of watching your child grow up with OCD and how it consumes and has taken him away. As a parent of an adult child who has suffered with this illness all his life, the pain in my heart is so immense words cant express.

How to Pick a Therapist
Written by DrGreene
26 March 2009

By Paul Greene, Ph.D., clinical psychologist in New York, specializing in treatment of OCD.  This article adapted from http://www.anxiety-ocd.info/2008/11/how-to-pick-therapist.html

It can be difficult to decide if and when psychotherapy would be helpful. There are many different ways people make this decision. A general guideline that I offer is called the “interference rule.” That is, if a problem is significantly interfering in your ability to live your life the way you’d like, then psychotherapy may be helpful.
