Since 1999, when I was diagnosed with myasthenia gravis, a very good physician taught me excellent coping skills to overcome the "road bumps" that this disease poses in my day-to-day life. My neurologist, an expert in myasthenia gravis, has been a tremendous mentor for me. He also learns from me through my experience with myasthenia gravis, as well as through the complex overlap symptoms of connective tissue disease and Graves' disease. By virtue of a thirst for knowledge so I can continue to live relatively successfully with this disease, coupled with an excellent team of M.D.s and a great Ph.D., I count myself fortunate and always welcome the opportunity to help others living with myasthenia gravis.
