MDJunction to me

"I am so happy to be a part of the MDJunction family! Where I used to be alone, I now have friends whom inspire me, comfort me, support me, and do not judge me. My new life began October 17, 2008. I weighed in with severe depression, social anxiety disorder and avoidant personality disorder. I was born with complications but I am fighting for my life and I will survive!!" (apieceofwork)

I am 32 and have been married for 9 years, although sometimes it seems like much longer. I have three children ages 5,7,and 8. My 5 year old daughter is the only child that does not have issues yet.I am sure that she will at least develope an attitude soon. My 7 year old has been diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder that has lead to his depression and is ADHD. And my 8 year oldson has anger management issues. I guess that is from acting like his daddy. My hubby is actually a great man. He puts up with a great deal from us, as to date there are seven of us still roaming inside. There were at least twelve, that I know of, to start with.

I was physically, sexually, and emotionally abused from infancy on by various people. I was diagnosed with ADD when I was 10. I have been labeled with several different psychological disorders since, none of them really fitting me. My current therapist and I have been together for three years. A year and a half ago she introduced the idea of DID/MPD. This came as no big surprise to me, as I had known since I was seventeen that their were others inside. I had always refered to them as altered egos that just got stuck durring different developemental stages. They worked fairly well together, just not with me. Now they are working more with me, we still have times where they do not consult me, but for the most part they do.

My hopes with this board is to open the relm of multiplictity to the world, both multiplies and singletons. For multiples I would hope that they can learn that they are not as alone as the realization that there are others in your head can make one feel. For single minded people, I would hope that they could learn that being a multiple in no way means that we are incapable of being productive. That for the most part we are normal, we just coped with severly screwed up circumstances in a creative manner.

Feel free to PM me anytime.I will get back to you as soon as I can. If I cannot answer a question, I will let you know and will get back to you with either suggestions of where you can get the answer, or I will research it and let you know the outcome. I am in school full time, work full time and make and sell my own jewlery. So my days are full of activity, but I always have time for friends in need and I hope that those on this board will become friends.
