"A hug a day keeps the doctor away...especially with the price of apples these days!
Remember: When one door closes, find a rock and climb back in through a window!!
Thinking of you all and hoping that today is kinder to you than yesterday.
If you wear nothing else today, wear a smile!"

"Thanks for your reply regarding my eye patch.
You know, I think I'd rather refer to "droopy" eyelids as "sleepy" eyes instead. People are quick to suggest eyelid surgery as they are thinking of "sagging or baggy" eyelids, totally different problem than what MG patients have. Sleepy sounds better.
Have a great day!"

"Thank you for responding. I read that you had surgery, and I am glad that you are doing good. I know what you mean about having tired legs. I have problems getting up the steps too.
Once again, thank you for answering.

"Hi
I cannot believe that I have found someone with the same eye problem as I have. It has been horrible to walk around & having everyone asking what is wrong with your eye. I kept telling everyone that it was from Diabetes.
Tomorrow I go back to my fairly new family doctor that was such a help in getting me dx. I guess she will explain what I should expect from now on. How long I will have to be on prednisone. I hate taking that. I was on it for many years & gained up to 290 lbs.I do not ever want to do that again.
I had a CT Scan & they said my thyman (sp) was ok so I guess I will not need that surgery. I sure hope not.
Tomorrow I will actually be able to drive myself because I can see all around me.
With my eye I noticed that when I got tired the eye drooped more. When I rested it opened more.
Anyway, I surely am not glad that you have MG but it makes me happy to find someone that knows exactly what I have been going thru.
I will hush now. Good Luck my friend."

I have a scar on my chest thats about an inch from where I had perm chathader in for plasma. I had no idea what MG or a thymus was, still when I explain it to people they look so confused...ha..Your a teacher what grade to you teach? I have a ton of teacher friends I think it would be fun but very exhausting:) Take care hopefully our 40 percent will be 100!"

"Im glad your doing alot better after the surgery. I feel great! I just hope it lasts a long long time. Im off my steroids thank god, I hated them. No more puffy face! What did you doctor say about remission? Mine said it takes 6mths to a year to know for sure and that I only have a 40 percent chance of complete remission."

"How did your thymectomy go? How long were you in the hospital for? Did the doctors do it underneath your breast or right down the middle? I hope your doing well. Talk to you soon.
