"Sending much love, care, healing prayers and thoughts out to each of you. I've missed you and the time many of us shared together.
Just diagnosed with Gastritis by ERCP 2 days ago. My stomach a lining is extremely inflamed and swollen. A biopsy was taken, stones found beneath my liver and the gall bladder tissue regrowth. My gall bladder was removed nearly 15 months ago. Needles to say the pain is horrible in addition to CRPS.
I will be getting the photos from the RSDSA SF Conference edited onto my blog soon. I promise!
2 procedures and a surgery to go.
As always I wish you pain eased days and nights, please always be as well as you can be.
Warm wishes,
~Twinkle V.

"Dear Friends, I am writing to let you know that I have volunteered to co-lead the RSD Support Group.
I feel very strongly that this syndrome is under-funded for research, that many doctors remain unaware of the symptoms of this condition (the average patient sees 5 professional medical providers before they are diagnosed), and also that the general public for the most part has never heard of this condition which afflicts 50,000 new patients every year in the USA alone. How many of you have tried to tell a friend of family member about your condition, and been met with a blank stare?
I hope to make a positive contribution to this site through providing information in posts and continuing to expand our Resources section. I pledge to be here for you as a friendly ear, so that you know that you are not alone in your experience.
I would like to see this group thrive as a welcoming community, where we can explore the ups and downs of this condition in a safe environment. We can make a difference in our own lives and in the lives of other CRPS/RSD patients by being better informed about the syndrome, and by sharing that information with our own community of doctors, friends and family.
I am particularly interested in alternative and complimentary tools such as those used by Rev and offered at many pain management clinics ~ such as meditation, relaxation techniques, and volunteering to help others. There are things that WE can do to help ourselves reduce our own suffering.
I will need your patience and a little coaching along the way as I am new to being a forum leader. I will sincerely appreciate any feedback from my co-leader Craig and from any and all members. If you have any suggestions or ideas, please feel free to contact me because this is OUR group, and OUR community, created and sustained by OUR participation.
Thank you for this opportunity to be of service,
Mahalo,
Jenny"

"Dear my RSD/CRPS, Chronic pain friends and others.
It was a hard 2012. In fact the last few years have been hard. My husband had Quad bypass open heart surgery December 21st 2012, I spent Christmas in the hospital with him. I brought him home 8 days later. They took an artery from his left arm (12 inch incision) and a vein from his right leg (Approx 6-8 in incision) his heart has another 12 inch scar and 4 smaller horizontal beneath it approx 1.5-2 inches each where the large tubes were draining blood from the surgical site and his lungs. Tomorrow will be a week since we've been home. I spent the first 2 nights in the van at the hospital, during a storm, very cold, while he was in the first ICU. Another day in the van and after that I was able to stay with him in the second ICU and then in Cardiac recovery unit. I've been doing all I can to care for him, lift him, bathe him, feed him etc. It's been really hard but he's done it all for me. In August we had renewed our 25th wedding vows in a church ceremony. As you can imagine fear got the better of me on a few occasions, I thank God every day for the Christmas gift of life he gave me (and him) for bringing him through it. The day of his surgery was the day the world was suppose to end. As he was being wheeled into surgery our sky lit up bright orange and a rainbow appeared. Our daughter was walking to work and captured it happening on her cell phone. It was like God saying... it will be okay and this is my sign to you. Our niece also captured a photo, a double rainbow, but without the sky turning orange. I miss you all. I've had to take leave from the work I do for the time being. Our son Kurtis got his drivers permit only days before we found out my husband needed the surgery after an angiogram. He's been our driver. My husband gets his staples out in 2 weeks. We both have doc appointments tomorrow. I see a Pulmonary Specialist at the end of this month. Previously scheduled for the same day as my husbands surgery which I had to post pone. My sleep study came back abnormal. Much love and care to all of you. ~Twinkle"

Also I have a couple of reminders...
Please try to stay on subject with the title of the Thread... It really helps when you want to research any subject and you don't have to wade through all the off the wall stuff that does not pertain to the subject. Making it harder to find the facts about about that subject.
Also Please, please please... this is a Policy of MDJ...
We do not have discussions here on Religion or Politics. This is not what we are here for, we are here to discuss our problems with RSD.
Again WELCOME to all the new members.... Also HELLO to all the older members, and I hope all of you will please post, we have a lot of new areas to post to, in our forums..... Tell us about your day, your pain, your feelings.... good and bad... We are here for you...

Just a little update here, the "Forum" changes will be made here in the next couple of days according to Roy. I hope these new changes will make it easier to research our topics here. And with that in mind..... Please when posting, please try to keep your post on subject, as we have said before this helps member who want to do research on a subject find the information they need, without a lot of unrelated stuff to sort through....
Well as for me.... I am doing ok. RSD is up.... I have been in a flare since my neck surgery... but nothing new... hope to be returning home soon.... maybe next weekend...
I hope that you all are doing well.... I hope that if you have been one of the unlucky one that have lived in all the heat that has been around.... I hope you get some relief soon.... Right now where I am its 95 degrees and 88% humidy... expecting RAIN... again.....yuck.....
Anyway... hope you are at least able to find a place to cool off. I also hope and Pray your pain levels are down and will stay down... Also I hope your families are doing well, as I know how if they are having problems, it causes us more pain.. if from nothing else... just the stress......
Well I hope you have a Great day today.... AND a MUCH better day tomorrow..... Please... send a hug to someone you know here today.... I know it will make them feel better.....
Take care my friend....

"HI.... Just wanted to say hi to all my friends....
I hope that you are having a better day today than the one you had yesterday.... and tomorrow will even be better....
I hope that you will join me in a prayer for the families and victims of the shooting in CO.. Also a prayer for the family of the person who committed this terrible crime, as they need our prayers in trying to understand what could have driven their family member to do such a terrible thing.....
I hope the weather where you live is treating you well, here where I am now is "HOT" very ""HOT"" heat index right now is said to be about 124 degrees...
but I have to say, I like seeing the sun a lot better than seeing all the rain we have had here of late.... We are going to have more rain as of Sunday.... which I am not looking forward too... but that is just the way it goes...
As for me... my neck and back are a little better... my neck wound from my surgery is finally healed..THANK GOD!!! And with my PMD help, my headaches and lower back pain are at a min...so right now I have a lot to be thankful for.... MY RSD is like always.... at about a 6...
I have to go in on Monday for a CT scan of my head, lol to see what is going on in there... and to have blood work on my kidneys.. seems like it is always something....
Well I hope you all are doing well.... and I truly hope you are doing better than the last time we spoke....... MY thoughts and prayer are with you all....

"Hi everyone.
As some of you know, I had emergency Gall Bladder removal surgery on the 24 of March and am still recovering. I had my JP drain removed yesterday after having it in since the surgery week. Had it inside me at home for about a week. I have 4 port (incision) sites and all are healing well. The only painful one is the largest incision where the JP drain was located.
I had been sick for quite some time and had no idea what was causing it. Finally on the mend I hope.
Hopefully will become more active again. Have missed you all. Have read your emails even though I became behind while in the hospital.
Wishing each of you the best Easter Sunday and Spring break (Easter Vacation) possible.
Praying that if added activity causes you a rise in pain that the trade off is worth it and that the pain subsides the best it can again soon.
Much love and care to each of you,
~Twinkle"

"Sending hugs all around! Thinking of you all and hoping you are getting by the best that you can.
Hoping Spring time makes a difference in our pain levels.
A little warmth will do us all some good. :)
Here's some "warm" wishes, ~Twinkle"

"Sending positive thoughts and lots of hope around that pain is minimal or at least tolerable.
When it gets bad..
Breathe in, breathe out...
And let a sense of calm rush over you with each breath
xoxo,
~Twinkle"
