| A little about me: | Hi, I am Amanda and I was diagnosed with Turner Syndrome when I was 5 years old. I am now 25. It has affected my growth, I took growth hormones until I was in middle school. Since then, I have been on estrogen replacment therapy due to the issues TS causes that whole system of your body. I am also on thyroid medication. I feel it also does affect my communication skills, like a lot of the research I have read says it does. But, I feel I live a pretty normal life. Am just looking for some support as I enter adult life with this and hope to encourage others of you dealing with this by sharing my experiences. I currently am in grad school working on my Masters in Special Education, live at home with my parents, have been working as a special education para, and am trying to find a job that will work well with my schedule finishing grad school next year. Most likely that will end up being substitute teaching. |

| Hello, members. Remember to check on your posts! I have recently become a leader of the Alopecia Group and I have been responding to some posts without and replies. I'm pretty open about everything I have been through and I am more than happy to help you out when I can whether it's advice or if you just need someone to bounce your thoughts off of.
