| A little about me: | Born in the early sixties in New Hampshire, I now live in Reno, Nevada with my wife and two dogs. Along the way I've owned my own business, earned a Masters in Mathematics, worked for a company that makes gambling machines, and too many other distractions to mention here. I was diagnosed with RP in 2007 and was declared legally blind in 2009. I no longer drive and I left my career in 2009, but hope to pick up odd jobs to augment LTD. |

 | Hello everyone. I am a 47 y.o. male, born legally blind from RP. It was stable for over 20 years and then slowly started to deteriroate (sp?) and in the last 5 years I am nearly totally blind. 2 years ago I was diagnosed with herpes keritanitis (sp?) in my L. eye and with that diagnosis horrendous eye pain started. The herpes is now under control. The pain has never left and has increased even more. I have gone to several specialist, and each specialist have found different diagnoses for the pain. For the last 2 years the least eye pain has been 6 on a scale of 1-10. The highest has been a 12 (over the top). My latest eye Dr. wants to do more surgery and because the pain is at the level it is, I am considering the possibility to have the eye taken out. Has anyone else out there experienced any of these symptoms or pain level that I have written about? I would really appreciate feedback. It would be nice to know I'm not the only one out there experiencing this level of pain. Yonah http://www.ericcpeterson.com |
