| A little about me: | Hi my name I'm Janiliz and finding this site was just the best thing. I live in rural England, chocolate box pretty but behind the times in many things. I am a single parent with two great kids who are rapidly growing up. I work full time, am less busy parenting now the kids are becoming more independent, and I study in my spare time (not that there is much of that). I have had FM for years and reckon I can trace the start of it back to a serious bout of post viral fatigue which I had when I was 28, so about 20 years ago. Since then the group of symptoms which we all know so well has returned several times throughout the year (for the first ten years probably only the odd few days here and there each year - I used to call them my ME days) but now each year gets worse with the bouts lasting much longer and coming more frequently. I am very lucky that in between I am OK (as long as I take things steady) when the symptoms flare it is the most painful incapacitating thing I can imagine, the fog and the bad memory are quite scary but I know if I hang in there I do come out the other side. This summer we are moving house, I am really looking forward to it but really worried about the work involved and just know that it is a flare of FM waiting to happen. Anyway, I am a positive person, who loves a good laugh and have good friends even if they don't understand this illness. My profile pic is of Tiger my Chihuahua who is an endless source of comfort and never leaves my side - I can always rely on him for cuddles.
