| A little about me: | I am 64 and went out on disability from my job in Florida due to chronic pain, and depression. I no longer have depression as it is controlled by good meds. I do have serious chronic pain from generalized osteoarthritis and a very bad back. The pain comes from the back really. I am always very busy but take time to rest. I am not sleeping as well lately due to spasms that occur thruout the nite. I see a pain management Dr. today which is my first visit since moving from Florida to Northern Virginia. I am excited, but nervous. I know that I need something for the pain as I have been living on tyenol and an occasional tramadol. The tramadol should never have been prescribed as I take effexor xr but of course the primary would not listen even after I told him about the problem with the taking the two drugs concurrantly. Part 2 or whatever...: 65 now...Yuk had back surgery 07/09/09..it was called a microdecompression. I think it worked but I had some strange complications. My hip and rt.leg very sore. I have bursitis and found from reading that this sometimes happens after back surgery. Could have fooled me.. Rt leg is in knots and painful. Still using a walker because I can't walk with my cane any more. Doing worse then before surgery...I am not a happy camper. Have seen two Dr's and going back tuesday to my Rheumy....I know the rt. hip has osteo, but how bad I will find out. I have had 6 xrays last week. Depressing for sure, but I am a stubborn survivor. So glad this site is here!!! |
