MDJunction to me

HiddenButterfly"All I can say is that this has been the best place ever. It has been six to seven months since I joined, and I have learned so much. I now believe in myself and accept myself on a completely different level. The people on MDJunction has been so supportive and accepting that I have been able to adopt it into my personal life. That has reduced a lot of stress in my life. Thanks to all." (HiddenButterfly)

A little about me: In 2003, I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder 1 with psychotic features. For the first 5 years of knowing about my illness I fought very hard to control BP without meds. In the end, I lost that battle, realized that I do needed medication and achieved stability through a med cocktail.

I have been on disability since 2007 and life can be challenging at times. Some days it feels like my brain is malfunctioning and I have no control over it. I have maintained a positive attitude through it all and I have hope that some day I will be able to work again.

Since I found mdjunction I have came a long ways in my knowledge of BP. I spend alot of time reading others stories about their struggles and I can only feel a kin to all of you on this site. We have hard lives and I am happy that we all have a place to share our experiences.
