A little about me: Raising 3 girls as a single mom has been a challenge. Talk about major PMS under one roof! My husband is thankful everyday that we live in two different states. He has no idea how I cope. We have an awful lot of drama going on here. We tried the therapy route for 10 months. I took my daughter every week, and sometimes twice a week to attend a group session. THINGS GOT WORSE! So I have taken matters into my own hands. I've decided that it's insane to drag kids into a therapists office to try and "fix" them. Spending money for therapy sessions are better spent on Me, I am in my right mind, "well, most of the time" and, I do want to restore sanity in my head. I am motivated to do what ever it takes. Therapy for the parent makes much more sense, since my brain is fully developed and the brain of a child is not fully developed until around the age of, they are now saying 25.

"My Pink Ribbon: "I wear a pink ribbon in support, along with my husband who works as a radiologist using the latest and best procedures stop breast cancer before it can do damage . With new digital mammography, more cancers are being detected in the earliest stages of the disease. Often, when a woman goes in for her annual mammogram and a suspicious area is discovered, she no longer has to wait with worry and anxiety. The suspicious area can be biopsied that day with a minimal invasive procedure. These new procedures are saving time, money, emotional wear and tear on woman and most of all LIVES. With the new breast cancer detection technology, the mortality rate is beginning to drop." THAT’S THE BEST NEWS OF ALL"

a HugHello, To all of my friends, group members, newbee's. Sorry, I haven't been on. My cousin passed away at age 41, we were all very sadden by this loss. Please say a prayer for my family.

Now its back to you guys. I found these quotes and I wanted to share.

Hugs Dee

Remember and I thinking about all of you and wishing you the best.

Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself

– George Bernard Shaw

I have found that if you love life, life will love you back

- Arthur Rubinstein

Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive and go do it. Because what the world needs is more people who have come alive

– Howard Thurman.

Life isn’t a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, latte in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming ‘Woohoo WHAT A RIDE’!

If you do not like a post then simply ignore it as whilst it may not help you it may help someone else. Focus on the posts that you do enjoy. Join in with posts you like.
Please bear in mind that we are all different with different unique needs- the group leaders try to enable/support/help as many individuals as possible both in terms of posts as well as in terms of individual support via private messages too. We do our very best by the group as a whole as well as for each member whilst living with our own health challenges as well as life challenges. The GL's are just ordinary individuals with no medical backgrounds or counselling backgrounds- we are just caring individuals who try to make positive difference to other peoples lives.

A Monday March poem for you all!

Believe in your dreams.

Believe in today.

Believe that you are loved.

Believe that you make a difference.

Believe we can build a better world.

Believe when others might not.

Believe there’s a light at the end of the tunnel.

Believe that you might be that light for someone else.

Believe that the best is yet to be.

Believe in each other.

Believe in yourself.

I believe in you.

Lousy Father, Poor Male Role Model For His Daughte
I dedicated this personal space to myself, where I can vent regarding my kids uninvolved father. Raising girls without a strong male figure is not easy. I’m documenting some of my more challenging issues in this diary.
