MDJunction to me

thematrix777"MDJunction has been my lifeline. In the beginning, when I was at my worst physically and emotionally people helped me through the rough times with compassion, understanding and information. As I progressed and finally got a handle on my condition, giving back that same support and hope has been my mission. To all that come here seeking help or information, you will be able to find in all of the various forums; no matter what issues you are going through, there is always a helping hand to raise you up and provide hope and support when you need it the most." A little about me: I am thirty two years old and live in Yorkshire, UK with my nine year old daughter and our two cats. I suffered with endometriosis for fourteen years, having every treatment available plus a number of laser and diathermy operations, before a small tumour on my cervix forced me to have a total abdominal hysterectomy with removal of both ovaries and cervix in December 2008.

I have just had bowel surgery to remove the remaining cancer, after a spell of radiotherapy and am starting to feel much better- physically and mentally!

I have been single for almost a year now, after my husband left me for another woman. I am still sore about it, but trying not to be too bitter. I doubt I will ever trust again though. It has taken me this long to be able to get used to the idea, and it still hurts badly.

I have just moved back to the City of my childhood, a move of 200 miles, and now live around the corner from my wonderful parents. It feels so good to have support again!

I have had some training on pain relief and I have a lot of experience of dealing with endometriosis, having lived with the disease my entire adult life and also fronting a support group locally.

I am more than happy to offer any support I can on pain relief, hysterectomy and endometriosis treatment. I am also a good listener and happy to be a 'sounding board' so long as you offer me the same occasionally!

a HugI know I'm not here often but I think of my friends here every day and want you to know how thankful I am and how much I love you all so much. I know that some of you will not have a very happy holliday season, for
different reasons, but let us just be thankful for all of the good things and people in our lives and concentrate on that. Blessings to you and yours, Jenn
