MDJunction to me

Sylvia4648"I have suffered from depression most of my life, but had some long, non-depressed times. The last 16 years have been an on-going, constantly worsening nightmare for me medically, socially and with my family. 11/2008 to the present has been the worst time in my life, and new things just keep piling up. During that time I’ve gone from being mostly homebound to being totally homebound due to the errors of about 2 dozen doctors who overmedicated me so badly that I came home w/ 4 conditions I didn’t go in with. I spent months wanting to die, and finding MDJ may well have saved my life. It’s one of the worst feelings to know that nobody on earth needs you for anything; but now that I’ve been a group leader for awhile, there are people here who need me. Thanks MDJ." (Sylvia4648)

A little about me: I am 36, been married for nearly 15 years.
Have a little boy who has just turned 8. Live in NSW, Australia.
I have been on the fibromyalgia rollercoaster for at least the last 14 years.
I have daily pain which can be at different levels depending on the weather and what I do. I take the antidepressant lexapro. I can only have 10mg, can't handle the side effects when I've had more.
Fatigue is a daily struggle and my sleeping is crazy. My body either wants to sleep like a hybernating bear-all the time or like a possom- awake all night and sleeping all day! I have many a time too when I get too restless to sleep and my brain just wont stop. Crazy!
My husband has chronic fatigue syndrome and is in remission at the moment.Who knows for how long but he's making the most of it and is a great help looking after me and Riley. A great house husband.
Life has been and continues to be a challenge but we take each day as it comes.
We're both on a disability pension and have been for the last 9 years.
We have tried having our own business for work and it was too much so we applied
and got the pension.
We were going through a better time when we had our son Riley. He has been great. Makes life a joy and interesting.
I enjoy crocheting, craft, sewing, reading, looking at cook books and recepies, all kinds of movies -
romantic, comedy, musicals, drama, thrillers, action adventure, and kids movies since having Riley.
I enjoy listenig to different kinds of music, whatever catches my ear and gets me grooving!
Finding out about others who have fibromyalgia and how they cope is very humbling and inspiring and it's comforting to know that I'm not alone.
Each day I look forward to the time where the Bible promises that Jehovah will bring an end to ALL suffering and injustice, when the earth will be a paradise and life will be a joy to live each and every day.
