|A little about me:||Hello All,
My story starts December 07, when I was at work and went outside for a break, slid on ice and landed directly onto my head. After which, my life had changed.
I had severe headaches everyday, I was sluring my words, studdering, I had bad neck, shoulder,back, arm, leg pains. I had dizzyness, double vision,dounble vision of light (ight sourounding everything) sensitivity to light, ringing in my ears, promblems with hearing too much or too little, if that makes sense. I had memory problems etc.
I was first diagnosed with Post concusive Syndrome, nerve damage to C5,C6 and herniated disks and DD in the cervicle areas along with cyst in the T1 to T3 area I think the MRI said somthinng like that and then Intracranial Hypertention, then Papilea Edema, then after the medication of prednisone and Diamox was working I was told I didn't have Intracranial Hypertention or Papalea edema, that I had "tension headaches" then told to go down on the Diamox. Then had an MRV and MR Angio done, Then told I do have Intracranial Hypertension and Papillea edema, and told to still go done on Diamox, oh and I was told I have " Druezen" too. I was also diagnosed with fibromyalgia last moth by a rheumotologist.
Oh and My MRI mention something about Chiari Aquired. Whatever that means.
I'm not sure if it means to say
I have it or that it means I don't but frankly at this point I don't care. All I know is I'm in pain and just holding on trying to make sense of it all.
I am engaged (living with Joe) so I guess you can say married. I have 2 daughters, one step daughter and one steep son.
I have been having alot of problems dealing with the pain and trying to regain control of my life. I am hoping on meeting people who wouldn't mind sharing some tips and tricks with me on how they cope with Fibromyalgia and learning a bit about you.
I look forward to hearing from you.
I use the orthopeadic memory foam pillow at night that I find really helps with my neck and head pain.
I also find that when we bought the matress cover/ heater was the best investment we ever made!!!
It's not that expensive about one hundred bucks but well worth it!! It is a mattress cover that heats up both sides of the bed, but has two separate controlers. I like my side of the bed always on high to warm my muscles when I go to bed, helps with pain. Joe likes his side of the bed cold. So he keeps his side of the bed turned off! It works great for both of us! I really recommend it!! My side of the bed stays warm for 12 hours then automatically shuts off!
