I admire your courage to not anly have a child with ASD but another with BP! AND to have a day care to care for others as well.I know how hard it is to have a child with ASD and there are those days that yo uwonder if it gets better or even if you will make it through another day! The looks, the whispered comments, the disgusted looks, make you feel really outcasted but we know now how to deal with it and now it doesn't bother us. (as much:) ) It's nice to see someone else with their chin up!

Hello! I was really afraid the gfree diet would work as i was afraid of keeping it. however it is such part of our lives i don't think much about it. it is expensive yes but i prefer to do the diet for him than give him meds as it really works to calm him down. i read a lot about it before i started and the University of Sunderland gave me a booklet which was very helpful (by post). costs just 4 sterling. they do send overseas. the effect was dramatic. he even had the withdrawal symptoms for about a month. everything is explained in the booklet. it really is worth a try believe me. it made the difference from being stuck in a corner isolated to trying to communicate for his needs verbally, enjoying our and guests company, shows much affection etc.. he is still autistic but much less severe. sometimes accidents happen and he eats a piece of bread from his father's, believe me anyone who does not know he did would realise somethings wrong as he really regresses overall. good luck and if you need any more tips pls let me know. My four year old has been on the diet now for 1 yr 8 months.
