|A little about me:||As of January 2013, I am working mom of two, diagnosed with RA in October 2008. This is an exhausting and frustrating disease.. Some days it's difficult just to get out of bed, let alone take care of the kids, go to work, take care of the house, etc.. I am very thankful for the good days, and try to make the best of them without overdoing it. That's difficult though.. MTX isnt working so well for me, but reluctant to begin Humira shots... I'm not a big fan of taking meds so I keep resisting. Maybe still a little in denial too... I realize there are far worse things I could have, so I try not to complain too much. Just looking for some support, because it doesn't exist at home at all. Doctor added Fibromyalgia to my list of ailments in October 2010, and of course I'm in denial of that as well!lol What can you do? When life hands you lemons, make lemonade!
Please note: While I am a Group Leader, I am NOT qualified to give medical advice. I am not a doctor, a nurse, or a medical professional. I am a person seeking information just like you. If you have a question of a medical nature regarding your illness, please see your physician! Thanks!! :-)
|Hey guys. It's me Annie :) Things have been improving for me. I'm doing better in school and things are just becoming more positive for me. I'm starting ACT soon. So I shall let you know how that goes! For those who don't know...ACT stands for "Acceptance and Commitment therapy". I just wanted to say that I really love it here and the people who are here :) Love you all to pieces. I am glad to know you <3
I'm on my journey, and who knows where I will go :)
|Hey guys. This has been a very hard time for me. Just a lot of health problems and med changes.
Sometimes I feel like I can't deal with the med changes, but then I remember how important it is to live on. That keeps me going.
I am taking two hard classes this semester so I may not be around much as well because of the time needed to study.
But I love you all very much c:
I also have violent coughs and this sinus headache/pressure that is really making me sick.
But I don't want to stop...
I don't want to miss a thing.
I think that is what's most important.
Never stopping...just being yourself...freedom...and hope. c:
Love you all!
|Just read you had some intestine removed. In 2005, I did, too. My OB/GYN was performing an exploratory laparoscopy, knicked my intestine and viola! A week later, had to have an emergency resection, then 6 mos later an incisional hernia needed to be repaired. Still have some difficulty. Just add it to the list :) Glad you shared - tmi :) hee hee We are not alone. As always, take care ~HappyHeart
