| A little about me: | 1991-At 33 following radical hysterectomy for cervical cancer developed a neurogenic bladder. Now i have no urge to void resulting in urge incontinence. Increased urine retention. Started ISC. All medications, pelvic floor re-training failed. 2005-2007: Sacral Neuromodulation Failed- Attempted three times. 5/30/08- SPC placed for urine incontinence poor results. 8/29/08- Bilateral Pudendal Neuromodulation- Failed. transmitter and wires removed. 9/16/08- SPC tube D/C. No improvement with Urinary Incontinence. . 11/10/08 Failed Continent urinary diversion. Mitrofanoff- Stenosis. Increased problem with ISC--urethra recessed. Developed skin cellulitis 20 days after diversion placed. never was able to cath through stoma due to stenosis. 5/29/09- Augmentation Cystoplasty w/ Monti Cathterizable continent stoma 7/26/09- Stoma Stenosis- Monti 8/24/09- Stoma revision surgery- at skin level had good results. 12/17/09- urine retention is NOT PUTTING pressure on my kidneys or urinary system. at 780 ml slight increase of pressure from 40 to 73 cm. No reflex of urine was noted. Due to augmentation urine incontinence COMPLETELY RESOLVED. F/u app't in one year! After 5 years I have and IMPROVED functioning bladder--I CAN LIVE WITH. YEA! 12/17/10- SECOND surgery for stoma stenosis. Stoma keeps narrowing down from scar tissue. 8/30/11: THIRD surgery for stoma stenosis, valves leak causing increase urine leakage from the naval. Extensive scarring around the stoma and along tract going into the augmentated bladder. Requiring flap work and repair of the valves so that urine does not back up.-- 5/29/2012: Bladder augmentation takedown/ simple cystectomy/ Ileal conduit placed. Uncomplicated. During surgery had three hours of lysis of adhesions. Mild Ileus one week later-hospitalized for additional one week. |

bladder mania
At this time i have a SPC catheter that when capped i have gross urine incont at least 2-3 episodes every other day.
Wearing depend pull-ups
my 4th inter-stim removed 8/29/08.
9/16/08--D/C SPC TUBE
ISC- 5-6 times daily
12/5/2008 Mitrofanoff procedure failed.
1/10/09- ISC 5-6 times daily
Gross urine incont has returned.
Waiting for Indiana pouch
4/16/09- Seen another Urologist- not doing the indiana pouch.
will be having Augmentation cystoplasty with a Monti catherizable
stoma. Will be using small bowel to enlarge the bladder, and
also taking small bowel to make the channel and the stoma to catherize
with to empty my bladder-(a contient urinary diversion)
Surgery is 5/29/09.
S/P Augmentation Cystoplasty w/ Monti stoma.
