A little about me: I am 54 yrs old, married with 2 grown children and 1 grandson..I have been married for 36 yrs. I have had joint and muscle pain for about 15 yrs now, my doc says I have fybro but not sure, now she wants me to go to a nuerologist, sorry for spelling, I procrastinate about going t6o these docs because I hear so many stories of them not beleiving or they just cant help, I'm not sure my regular doc even beleives,it is so hard to get up in the morning yet if I stay in bed to long its worse.. but I push myself every day, I care for children in my home and even thats getting so hard...but we need the money to pay the rent so I just push on, I cry alot and wish I could just rst and maybe all this pain would somehow go away.. well enough of this pitty party.. I'm usally very chipper dispite all this..

a HugHi.. usually (according to 6 years of trying to find out what was wrong with me.. a rheumatoligist is the one that will diagnose fibro. And it usually also includes chronic fatigue syndrome. I do spend 2/3 of my day in bed.. I am 49 am I now am on disability (it took three years and I finally had to go before a federal judge, but I did get it, along with medicare) which has helped with expenses. From what my doctor tells me, just don't over due a "good" day because you will just take away from the next day. We live sort of like a bank.. if we take too much one day, we pay for it the next (and maybe 2 or 3 more). In addition, walking is good, and light strength training. I have two wonderful fibro "bible" books if you have any interest I can send you the names and authors... you may also want to be checked for sleep apnea, I have central sleep apnea, and most of us do have some kind of sleep apnea, along with IBS, irritable bladder, etc., etc., anyway, if you have any questions, I consider myself well-educated on it so I would be glad to answer what I can or steer you to a reputable web-site.... I cry almost every day.. sometimes I sob.. and I'm on two anti-depressents.. it is really hard to face this day-in and day out.. I just joined this support group.. I had tried others years ago and they were sort of a farce.. but this has been a true blessing..knowing I'm not alone. and you aren't either : )

a HugWelcome. Print things from this website to show the Dr. When you can show that there are so many people suffering if he just looks, he will believe in you and work with you. They are just ignorant about this disease. I say ignorant, cause I don't believe much of them care enough to educate themselves on fibro. They want the easy patients...in and out..collect the money. They have to spend more time with us. They have to usher people in like cattle to make enough money any more due to insurance companies. Best of luck to you. If you need a shoulder to cry on or someone to talk to, I am here. I know your pain and I have a good cry several times a week. Have a really nice day!
