MDJunction to me

aTinaL"To me, Mdjunction comes down to motivation. The support and information I have found here motivated me to take a very proactive stance regarding my illness. This led me to find medication and doctors that are giving me my life back.
More important than even the motivation, though, is the friendship I have found at MDJ. I have made some of the best friends of my entire life right here in this group. Even though most of us have never met, it feels as if we have known each other for years.
If Angels walk among us, and I believe that they do, most of them are here at MDJ.

A little about me: 51 yr old, diagnosed about 10 years ago with bipolar disorder. 3 grown children. 3 grandchildren. now am trying to get disability. work is too painful now.i also have multi joint arthiritis, fibromyalgia, and idiopathetic hypersomnia. i love my kids, my grandchildren. need to connect regularly w/ people w/same disorder. recently my three year old granddaughter was diagnosised with PDD-high functioning autism. she has a lot of social, emotional, sensory, communication and behavior issues. right now she is our priority because she can't get help for herself. also her mom was diagnosised about a year and a half ago as bi-polar also. we share the same household. i have worked for 20 yrs. with sp. needs children including autism. i wore an autism ribbon for them, now also for my little amaya. i am about as lost as a person can get. never been this hopeless in life. completely lost on where to turn, what to do next.
