A little about me:	I feel I have made too many mistakes. My 20 year old daughter has been diagnosed for 2 years. I have tried to keep her from being hospitalized several times when she is enraged and violent.She has been taking depakote and lexapro which seemed to control her violent rages and deep depressions. She was not happy with the weight gain of nearly 40 pounds. Two weeks ago she started to not take her meds. One week ago she began another intense episode of rage and violence, beating her 18 year old sister and taking off with a disorganized bunch of stuff and a few clothes. She doesn't have a car or much money. At first I could talk with her by e-mail,(she took her laptop). It was mostly rage, but at least I knew she was alive. Now she has stopped responding, and I am scared that she will start one of her depressed episodes, and there will be no one she can turn to. I fear the worst. She has been a cutter in the past. How can I reach her? What can I say or do?

That was such a beautiful little message, it really brought a little tear to my eye. Yes, we all have broken wings but we hold onto each other and fly with the eagles. I will keep you and your daughter in my prayers, I know what you are going through is extremely difficult and frustrating and heartbreaking and terrifying. And I don't say this to invalidate that, but....it WILL get better, it really really will. You have no idea how messed up I was, it was so bad, but I have been stable for two years, not an episode in sight and making good choices for myself, holding a full-time job. If I can get there, believe me, anyone can. She is going to be OK (((BIG HUG)))
