| A little about me: | Hi all, I also have been dx'd with CEBV, FINALLY after many docs, years...Mine started with Lyme's Disease,that was misdiagnosed, then I got mono....a few years later, I had a lot of stress in my life, got really, really sick, and was diagnosed with EBV...I was pretty sick for about a year or so, then started to feel a bit better, but not 100%, but still continued to try to live my life...but then I had a bout of highly stress full things happen again, and started feeling very bad again...ended up being dx'd with Fibro. WRONG!! but didn't know it was wrong...so I was seeing this Rheumy for about a year, but I kept getting all these scary symptoms, and I was SOOOO Tired ALL the time...this guy put me on all these meds, and none helped me, and he never seemed to listen to me, just kept nodding his head.I even asked him to check me for Lymes and EBV again, which he said came out fine.So, I took it upon myself to find another doctor to give me the help I needed,because i just knew that there was something else wrong with me.(went through my pcp and 2 neuro's)..also went for all kinds of tests to rule out MS, and things like that, since burning and tingling of extremities was severe, and I was walking around in a fog, and kept tripping and falling..finally found a neurologist to help me, and lo and behold he ended up testing again for EBV, and my numbers were sky high...4 doctors and only 1 of them knew how to request bloodwork with the nuclear antigen. Everytime I get a little stress in my life, my whole body falls apart..I live in misery every day..I have been out of work since Nov 07, thank god! that was a BIG part of my stress..I also am on adderall for fatigue, and percocet for pain..I take a greens supplement, calcium, mangnesium, a daily, and extra mineral supplement. Even on the adderall sometimes I have no energy..some days I am just so tired, that all the drugs in the world won't help...and LONELY!! I am married( I have infected my husband) but I feel so alone...no one understands unless they have it! They all say "well you look great!". Which makes me want to scream..lol..It's a very lonely illness, I am so glad I found this forum!! My symptoms are: sharp shooting burning pain in extremities,mostly fingers..brain fog, fatigue, headaches, memory loss, cognitive dysfunction, back pain, all over pain--flu like, night sweats, hot and cold intolerance, dizziness, nauseas, blurry vision at times, swollen glands, which cause me to have hearing loss-my ears are always popping and painful, and my left knee fells like it has bugs crawling through it..the other thing that really is wierd is this lightening zap I get through my head sometimes..seems to come in through my ear...the first time it ever happened, I was at work, and I nearly fell off my chair..I got so scared!! that is what made me seek out more help, because I had no idea what could have caused that...since i have been out of work, it has not happened at all..so I guess it's a stress thing..well, I guess that's enough about me, I can't write anymore..lol--can anyone relate?? |
