| A little about me: | I am 29, married with 4 girls of my own,aged 11, 4, 3 and 17 months. 1 to another man and 3 with my partner of 6 years, and 4 step kids, 1 of which now lives with us since his mum kicked him out just before christmas last year. He is 14. I have been suffering from chronic back pain for years.During my teenage years I was in foster care and also I lived on the streets, or where ever I could stay, sometimes it was with complete strangers or train stations and even refuges. Looking back on my life now I realize just how lucky I am that I have turned out with the attitudes that I have about life. After suffering for years with really bad back pain and having 5 pregnancies (1 of which i lost, a baby boy), I guess it was just too much for my back to handle. I used to work as an aged care nurse, looking after the elderly, trying to give them some quality of life. I also used to go into people's homes and do domestic and personal care services. I have a degree in business administration and I also used do do alot of voluntary work in the community. I have finally been diagnosed with scheuermann's Disease (after finding doctors who are actually willing to listen to my complaining) and following several visits to specialists and many different tests and now unfortunately my condition has worsend over the past 12 months. I live on many pain meds, and i'm trying new ones to see if there's anything that can be done to try to regain a somewhat normal life. I have probably got too much life experience for my age, I'm a great listener,(reader)and I'm now searching for hope, support and friendship from other people who are also unfortunate enough to suffer from chronic pain. If you would like to send me a message about anything I WILL REPLY TO ALL OF MY MESSAGES everytime I'm online. Oh also I'm not easily offended so feel free to discuss anything happy or sad, I'm hoping to share my journey with others who are able to understand the agony of chronic pain and who are willing to share their life with me. Maybe even make some close friendships along the way. I look forward to meeting everyone on this site. xxxx |
