 | Black Ribbon | 03/27/2008 | Even though I would wear several ribbons if possible, I am wearing this ribbon in honor of my mother who died of rare melanoma cancer in her intestinal area. She was such a brave soul during the trial. She put her trust and faith in God and I will always believe He carried her through the hardest parts. |

| A little about me: | I am currently 45 years old and live with my significant other and my little dog. I suffer from Fibromyalgia, CFS, IBS, asthma, allergies (both medicines and foods),Depression related issues, plus other ailments. I can relate to many stories I read while deciding to join this group. Pain has became such a part of my life, even with pain meds, that I am not sure what I would do if I woke up one day without it. I feel a lot of my depression is enhanced by comments and "looks" from people who don't understand how a person can suffer so greatly from pain without appearing "disfigured" or whatever they use to judge a persons pain level. The depression then contributes to my pain. I also feel my increased weight has added to my depression in addition to the pain because whenever I try to do day to day activities (much less exercise even in water)I am exhausted and in greater pain. I know losing weight would help me, but how does one tolerate the pain to survive the exercise? I guess I have exceeded the general concept of a profile and will quit venting now. I look forward to discussing issues with all of you that I am sure understand my concerns, questions, and other aspects. Please feel free to contact me with suggestions and tips... I can certainly use them! |
