MDJunction to me

liamacker"The part of my recovery plan that I would say made up 80% is MDJ. I suffered a lot prior to finding MDJ, felt alone and had no one to talk to who really understood me. In the Bipolar Group I found like minded individuals who I could relate to and who offered support to me when I needed it. As I recovered, I could then offer support to them which gave me a good feeling about myself. I have met some great people here who I would class as good friends and know I would still be in the slump I was in without them. Now I am stable, I know that MDJ plays an important part in keeping me that way. Thank you MDJ for being there for us all and making us no longer feel alone." (liamacker)

A little about me: I was a professional golfer until I couldn't golf any more because of Chronic Lyme Disease not being diagnosed for 12 years. Last fall I tested CDC positive for Lyme Disease and I had been trying to get help for this Disease for the past 12 years. Doctors would not believe me, yet I would come in with swollen arms and hands and feet after golfing, they said it was all in my head. I knew I had this Disease all along, and now I have a Kidney Disease, Hashimotis of the Thyroid, 100 lb. weight gain, hormones all screwed up, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, parkinson like symptoms in my hands now, and I could go on. I would like to find other people dealing with this Disease to help encourage me with this and for getting help with treatment ideas. Thanks for all the help out there, Dawn.
My Awareness Ribbons

"I am suffering daily with Lyme Disease, and I want to bring awareness to this devastating disease and its effects on all those that are also suffering. We need to show this ribbon for reminding others what we are truly going through. This disease needs recognition like all other devastating diseases. The time has come, no more lies to be told of what we are all dealing with. Chronic Lyme Disease is real, and the truth shall set us all free."
