A little about me:	Newly Dx with FM but have had it probably for 18 yrs. I am an RN and work in Hospice. I have my BS in nursing and I also have my national certification as a Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse. I also have a certificate in Nutrition, Bodycare and Herbalism from The Australasian College of Health and Sciences College in Oregon. I was going to get my degree there for Holistic Medicine but I wanted to finish my BS and that took all my time. I am married to a great man that takes good care of me if I am not feeling good. I have 2 step children a boy and a girl. My step son is in the Air Force and I am so very proud of him just like he was my own kid. He is married and has a beautiful daughter. I have 3 grand daughters. We are empty nesters thank goodness. Can't handle little ones running around but I love the visits. I love to garden and I love the out doors. I also love to travel. I have 2 other sister with fibro and I believe3 of my brothers. I have 2 neices that have it too. I don't believe I have had this all my life. I was fine as a teenager and in my early 20's. I am 56 now. I think I was in my early 30's. But I just keep pushing myself until there was no more pushing to be had. I was always very active. Until I hit 40 and my whole world came crashing down around me. For the next 5 years at least there was not one single day that I didn't have unbelieveable unrelenting pain. I prayed that God would let me die it hurt so bad. The doctors were NO help to me at all. I put up with some real jerks. And that is putting it as nicely as I can. Hi I'm Wahneita searching for information is't really my hobbie it has been a way of life for the last 13 years. Since the doctors in our area had No ideal what it even was let alone how to treat it:( But I wanted to learn as much as I could just in case one of my children were to get this. I have actually taught my doctors. Wish I were getting paid for it. I think I have read almost everything out there. I know they say it isn't genitic but I don't believe that any more. I have 7 brothers and 6 sisters we all have the same parents. I believe my dad had fibromylgia.
