| A little about me: | I was officially diagnosed with HS April, 2012. I always had markings around my groin, but I thought it was from shaving. As I got older, they got worse. I stopped shaving and stll had them hanging about. I had them in my underarms, under my breasts and on my upper thighs. I stopped using deoderant and they have become somewhat managable. no painful ones occur in my underarms anymore. After I had a bilateral breast reduction don, The one's under my breast disappated. Unfortunatly it's gone on for the last 8 years or so and I am having constant flareups on my groin. When one became absessed, I went to urgent care who managed my pain and gave me antibiotics. I finally talked to my doctor about it April, 2012 who brought in a book and said that I have HS, a dermatologist confirmed. I am on erthromycin but it doesn't seem to be helping. My dermatologist didn't even look at the extent of the damage done on my groin. he looked at my freshly shaven arms and said... "oh yup, that's what it is". URGG!!! |
