In June of 2010, I had a cabg x 4 and a mechanical mitrial heart valve put in. My EF was 10-15%. When I had a follow up echo done in Sept. 2010 my EF had risen to 35%. I had another done in September of 2011 and it is now back down to 25% which means that my heart has gotten weaker. I am in Stage 3 of CHF and my Doctor says that sometime down the road I will need a heart transplant. I had an ICD put in October of 2010. My shortness of breath is getting worse now but I feel great.
