MDJunction to me

colorobert"MDJunction has given me the resources to be able to handle the day to day stress of the day. When I can't talk to my therapist, I know that I can put my question on the forums and some nice person will respond to me. Nice to know that there is others that is like me." (colorobert)

A little about me: I'm a divorced and now re-married mother of 2 children ages 10 and 15. I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder in 2005 during my divorce from my ex-husband, but in looking back, I know I've been bipolar since I was at least 15 or 16. I take EFfexor XR, Risperidone, Ativan, Topamax and Ambien. I'm blessed with a very supportive and understanding husband and children and a couple of very close friends that are very supportive and have been a blessing to me. However, my ex-husband and the rest of my family do not understand the disorder, nor do they care to learn about it, not even for the sake of the children. I've joined MDJunction to be able to have a place to put my thoughts as well as a place to reach out and get feedback in times of need. I'm looking forward to getting help here as well as helping others. New note - I was diagnosed with diabetes on May 24, 2012. At least I know I'm already in the right place :)

~Mark Twain

"It is admirable for a father to take his son fishing, but there is a special place in heaven for the father who takes his daughter shopping."

a HugPlease send prayers for my sister.
Her central line broke in the middle of the night which leads her wide open to infection or sepsis. The line goes directly to her heart. Please say prayers that she stays safe and that her health improves.
