a Cheer UpWelcome to the group - It is so difficult to learn how to manage your energy. Those levels change on a daily and sometimes hourly basis. I try to not overdue it. Today I'm really cleaning my bedroom so I will start my stripping the bed and getting a wash going, then I will sit or go on the computer for 15 minutes. I actually set a timer-then go do some more for maybe a half hour - rest - then continue until the job is done. It takes me 4 to 5 times longer to do this kind of a job then it did before. It continues to be frustrating but I just have to do it. You will find new ways to do things and most importantly try and keep your spirits up.

My Diary
My Diagnosis....
For me the battle began in my 20's during pregnancy with some ill side effects. Then told I had an underlying disease that would not effect me until later in life. I pushed it aside never remembering those days at the neurologists. Then as the 40's approached I began feeling weekness like a stroke on my left side and falling. Not sure my legs were going to do what I wanted them to do. After several months of testing coming up with the diagnosis of ALS. They sent me to a wonderful doc who looked into my eyes and told me things were not so bad as my family doctor thought. I then began to cry as I knew with God's help I could handle anything. I have been on mestinon for 9 years and had a thyectomy @ 7 years ago. Which helped me lessen the dosage of Mestinon. Then the 50's approached and I started with double even triple vision. Treated with predinose corrected the vision within 10 days but getting off the predinose has been difficult. Now 1 1/2 years I am backing off the predinose but adding the cellcept to try to free me from the predinose. So I am leaning on the Lord for healing and strength.
