MDJunction to me

suebaby41"I was recently diagnosed with Recurrent Breast Cancer In The Chest
Wall. I would not be able to handle it as well as I am without the
help of my MDJunction friends. It just proves to me that there are
lots of good people in this world and I am happy to be involved with
MDJunction who seems to have most of them.

A little about me: Female, 46, Bipolar I with treatment-resistant depressions and rapid cycling. Hypomania that's usually easy to control. Depression that's stubborn and only ECT has worked recently.
Parent of a 5 year old and struggling to parent with mood swings. (But I am so glad to be a mother...finally took the risk, went off meds, got pregnant, love being a Mom). Happily married. Supportive family.
Currently doing ECT, successful but memory loss and cognitive side effects a problem.
Depakote ER (currently finding right dose)
Seroquel 100-200 mg
Birth control pill, (Apri, estradiol estrogen type)
Antidepressants: have tried almost all unsuccessfully, even tried Emsam patch. In 80's antidepressant may have triggered start of manic episodes. Usually just problem with isolative lethargic depression.
