MDJunction to me

Sylvia4648"I have suffered from depression most of my life, but had some long, non-depressed times. The last 16 years have been an on-going, constantly worsening nightmare for me medically, socially and with my family. 11/2008 to the present has been the worst time in my life, and new things just keep piling up. During that time I’ve gone from being mostly homebound to being totally homebound due to the errors of about 2 dozen doctors who overmedicated me so badly that I came home w/ 4 conditions I didn’t go in with. I spent months wanting to die, and finding MDJ may well have saved my life. It’s one of the worst feelings to know that nobody on earth needs you for anything; but now that I’ve been a group leader for awhile, there are people here who need me. Thanks MDJ." (Sylvia4648)

A little about me: I am 48 years old and have had Trigeminal Autonomic Cephalgia headaches, specifically CPH for the past 11 years and 6 months. I also have trigeminal neuralgia and fibromyalgia. Also, something is up with my pituitary gland. My brain seems wired to keep me in agony. NO medication has worked for long, not even indomethacin.
I have had a deep brain stimulator put into my hypothalamus and it worked fabulously for over two years, but now something has gone awry so I have a lot of pain now that I am trying to get under control through pain meds. I am NOT ready to give up on the neurostimulator though! I am going to get a second opinion as soon as possible.
Other than that, I am the proud mom of a young lady that has Down Syndrome and she is an angel on earth.
I enjoy reading, writing, photography, filmmaking and am a complete computer geek! I have filmed and edited hours of interviews with headache sufferers but have had to put the project aside because of the economy and the return of the headache pain.
