| A little about me: | Joined group October '11. Traveled out of state in June 2011. After returning home, started have severe muscle cramping in left calf and discovered rash. Discovered bite within the rash and two more tiny black spots. One by one, other symptoms started mounting and migrating. After about a month and a half, I started doing some research and discussing this all with my daughter - all indications pointed toward Lyme. PCP examined rash and discussed symptoms - seemed to know a lot of the basics of Lyme - was immediately placed on 30 days of doxy. After major herx and 28 days of doxy - at which time it felt as if I was having another herx - PCP ordered ELISA. Results indicated .21 lyme antibody. At that point, PCP advised that he was not really qualified to treat Lyme and advised me to see an RA specialist, because they are usually knowledgeable of the disease. Rather than calling an RA, I decided to contact some ID specialists in the area. Found only one doctor that even treats Lyme, and was told that he only does so on a case by case basis. Somehow, don't think an ID is going to work. It's January 2012...I haven't seen an LLMD. Trying to take as many supps as possible; drink water, juices and green teas; and trying to get as much exercise as possible. Fatigued (have periods of extreme fatigue), ears ring nonstop, hands and feet ache/stiff/tingle, joints ache/pop/some swell, muscles ache/weak/spasms, overall loss of stamina, anxiety, palpitations, swollen lymph glands, insomnia, brain fog, blurry vision, overall condition can turn on a dime. Have recently started having night sweats. I am trying to remain active and productive, but trying to learn when to back off and allow my body to catch up. February 2012...I requested an IGENEX kit a few days ago. Going to take it to my PCP to get the lab order. Deciding whether to go with an LLMD or LLND. Saw an ND - on a new protocol. Went to lab for IGenex testing blood draw. Awaiting results at this time - patiently. After almost two weeks of supplements and diet prescribed by ND, started herxing. I've been feeling a herx now for about a week. A good sign, but an uncomfortable time. IgM 41+ IgG 41+ 31 IND 39 IND So glad that I found this forum. Has been a source of great information and support. Also, have joined a local support group. Do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.
