A little about me: 50 yrs old. married 25 yrs, 2 sons, 1 daughter, 1 granddaughter, 2 dogs, 5 cats. had pituitary surgery 6/08 for macroadenoma. now have hypocortisolism. had cushings and elevated prolactin from tumor. also-hpb, depression, osteopenia, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, sleep apnea, corneal dystrophies, and poor memory cuz rite now i don't remember if that's all that's wrong w/me! haven't worked since 6/08 but didn't like my job anyway. i try to live w/no regrets since my brother died from lung cancer 3 yrs ago. but now i am closer to my sister and father. i learned the hard way that there isn't always a tomorrow. he was my big brother, i always thought he'd be there watching over me.

Hi Herro: Thank you for your help. It really helps me to be able to talk to someone. I haven't told anyone about this yet since my family lives far away they don't know.I read you profile and it sounds a lot like me. I have been trying to learn about this all. Over the years I have been taking care of a sick child. I have been depressed and the fatigue is overwhelming. It takes every bit of energy to just do what I need to do around the house and take care of my son. My whole body aches like I was hit by a truck. Did you just have the surgery? What did the MRI say before surgery? Did it show the macroadenoma? What symptoms improved? I am having a new prolactim level tomorrow and all new blood work. The last one was slightly elevated. The MRI showed In case anyone understands this ...Probable intrasellar arachnoid diverticulum.The central part of the pituatary fossa is filled with cerebrospinal fluid bright signal, the pituatary stalk is posteriorly displaced against the dorsum sellae, and there is a suggestion of downward and lateral displacement of the pituitary parenchyma. Also focal prominence of the superior margin or the pituitary on the left is identified.

I still don't know what this means but when I go to the Neuro maybe he can help me.

Hello,hope your having a not so painful day. Thanks for the hug-that was kind of you. As you can tell I forget to get on this site to check or even write anything! I'll have to do better. I got hurt in 2001 while I was at work. I caught one of our clients as she was falling on a small child. She was over 200lbs and i weighed around 130 at the time. It damaged me in alot of way's physically and eventually emotionally because I could'nt go back to work and was in pain everyday.and also had to fight workman's comp for any help. Since then I've ended up with several health problems, fibro,adrenal fatigue, chronic insomnia, and I found out I am gluten intolerant. I ended up gaining alot of weight and I'm now in the process of trying to loose it-actually doing good with that. I started weight watchers and have lost around 25lbs. Sounds like you have alot going on yourself-i've had a time trying to get the right kind of help,seem's like you sure can go around in circles with alot of physician's.
