 | Purple Ribbon | 02/17/2008 | I battle with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. It is a tough fight, but I wear this ribbon as a token of my appreciation to all of the others who have touched my heart and reached out to me. I wear this ribbon as an acceptance of these disorders...I wear this ribbon to show others they can come to me and chat whenever they need to. I will always be a supporter of anyone in pain and suffering. |

| A little about me: | I am a single mother of a 5 year old girl and 12 month old boy/girl twins. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2003, but had all of the symptoms since 1997. It took me years to finally get a "word" to what I suffered from. After several doctors telling me I am a liar, and dealing with dr.s only putting me on muscle relaxers...I finally went to a rheumatologist who nailed the hammer on the head...felt so good to finally be able to learn about this tortorous disorder and try to accept the fight that I would have to endure. It is the hardest thing mentally and physically, but thank goodness for my children, because they get me out of bed every day and make me laugh through the pain...Life is challenging, but I accept this disorder. |
