A little about me: I survived 2007. Was sick the entire year. Had chronic bronchitis and sore throat from March to October. Began losing strength and coordination in my hands in July. Had heart arrhythmia. Eyes, mouth and skin horribly dry. Was referred to a rheumatologist, but it took months to get an appointment. He was great but could only say I have an undifferentiated autoimmune disorder, best guess is lupus with Sjogren's.

Life has been a bit better since I started meds, but it's still a struggle, as all of you know. I've regained the strength and coordination in my hands, crucial to my work, but have little to no energy.

Also had two fairly major surgeries on my head last year. The first was in March, an aggressive basal cell cancer on my forehead which required removal of a quarter-sized plug of flesh, then an incision of four inches to close. In September I found a melanoma on the top center of my head. It required a half dollar-sized plug to be removed, and my head was hamburger for months. This was my second melanoma; the first was on my arm in 1994.

I'm also bipolar, tho now more often depressed.

I have very little support, as I'm married to a disabled vet and we have no children. We live in a pretty isolated place. So most of my contacts are on-line. I prefer posting in forums to email but am very happy to talk to anybody.
