A little about me: Hi my name is Dotti, I've been married for 32 yrs and have two boys 25&28. I also 3 dogs. I originally had five, but lost 2 in 2 weeks. We moved to Allentown PA a little over a yr. ago from Long Island NY. I also have 8 exoctic birds. I enjoy corcheting, reading and playing with my animals. I've had Fibromyalgia for over 30 years and 6 months ago i was diagnosed with RA. I also have glaucoma I also have blood behind my left eye, and it makes it blurry reading. I also took my brother in as he fell 30' off the ladder, and has brain damage. It was a good thing for me to do. I'm hoping to make some friends, and also have chats with them.

a HugHello dear ones! As Paulette said, it is time for another group hug :)
An it is time to swing it out of the park too. Rheumatoid Arthritis Warrior is close to winning the Best Health Blog Contest. We were number one for some hours, which proves we can actually achieve this.
Rheumatoid disease is simply NOT understood. Period. It is not talked about. It is not acknowledged. We are invisible.
It is time not to be invisible anymore.
Haven't you felt, many times, you don't have a voice, or your voice can't be heard?
This is a chance to MAKE your voice heard. Please continue to vote, once daily, until Feb 15th.

a HugGood morning. I wanted to remind you to vote for the RA Warrior blog. We are now 400+ points behind first place, and we only have one week to do this!!

Aren't you sick and tired of people not knowing what RA is, and saying things to you like "oh my grandmother had that in her finger", or "but you don't look sick", or "take some advil", or "its not that bad, its only arthritis", or "take a hot bath, you'll feel better"??
Wouldn't you like to shout to the world "Its RA, and here's what you need to know about it"? Wouldn't you like RA to get as much research money poured into it as diabetes, autism, and a host of other chronic diseases?
YES? Then get on this site and vote!
If you don't have facebook or twitter I'm sure you have friends that do, so ask them to get on and vote FOR you!

I simply cannot stress how vitally important this could ultimately be to the future of RA treatment, publicity, and our health!!!

So don't stand on the sidelines. Get involved and help us... help yourself!!

My Diary
In Pain, But Not Too Bad Mentally
I'm not too sure I'm doing this right, so please anyone reading this please let me know ok? I've been in a lot of pain due to the Fibromyalgia and the RA. The last week or so I've been able to handle this better. I don't know why. I have my brother living with me now. Two years ago on the job he fell off the ladder that was 30' in the air. I had to take him in, there was no family in Florida. I've been so busy getting my brother settled in, I guess I have no time to think about all the pain I have. I do find at night that I can't get my body to relax either. I have pain then. I sure hope tomorrow will be just as good. Today is a beautiful fall day, cool and sunny. I can see God's hand in it.
