| A little about me: | Hello. I am happy to meet each and everyone of you! I am a cardiac registered nurse who has been side-lined by SLE/lupus. I recall my first meeting with a rheumatologist in May of 2005. I shook his hand and said, "It's so nice to meet you in person...you've come highly recommended, but I will not be coming back." Thank God this physician had a sense of humor...because two months later, July 2005, I experienced my first lupus flare...and it rocked my world! I was initiated into the Lupus Club and I hadn't asked to be a member. Skipping ahead, 6/08/2011, after waiting and praying for the last two years I get the phone call scheduling me for my first Benlysta infusion for 6/10/2011. I discovered this website and started blogging 6/08/2011 about Benlysta. My goal in doing this is to SHOUT OUT LOUD ... THERE IS A BETTER QUALITY OF LIFE FOR US OUT THERE!" I want my life back and I KNOW there's hope. I have been praying for a better quality of life for myself and my fellow LUPUS CLUB MEMBERS! It is 12 hours post my first Benlysta Infusion drip and can I tell you that I am starting to feel like "NurseBlack" again...the old Karen. Praise Be! Want to know more? Read my blogs. |
