| A little about me: | Hi. My name is Lisa. I'm 41 years old, married to a wonderfull man for 18 years, & have 2 beautiful daughters, 15 & 11. Life was very rosy till 3 years ago, when I first started symptoms with Fibromyalgia. I have subsequently also been diagnosed with Lupus, which looking back, I have had symptoms of since I was 13, when a country doctor told me I had gout. Not So!!!! This has completely changed my life, where once I would have my fingers in every pie, now I do what I can & learn to be satisfied with that. I have had to come to terms with the fact that I cannot wizz through my day at break neck speed anymore, but take each task one at a time, & if I complete it- YEY!!, but if not, it'll still be there tomorrow! After 3 years, I would have to say I have learned so much about the illnesses I have, & have learned to manage them fairly effectively, so that my life is beginning to get back to what it was. I am on no drugs or medication. I take a double dose of magnesium when going to bed each night, & generally get a good nights sleep. Since taking the magnesium at night my nightly wakenings have stopped, & I am getting deep sleep now, & waking up refreshed. I also take a probiotic. I still have my days of dreadfull pain, but am managing it without the help of meds. We live in Queensland Australia. |
