A little about me:

I'm a 48 year old housewife who was finally diagnosed with bipolar disorder two years ago.

I have a wonderfully supportive husband, a great family, great friends and a wonderful life, so I guess it's fair that I also have bipolar disorder. No one gets perfection, right? :-). Now I also have a pdoc that I trust and I'm sleeping, too. Life is looking up.

My depressions manifest as isolation, insomnia and don't give a crap-itis. I literally feel nothing and get no pleasure from anything. My hypermanias manifest as irritability, extra energy and insomnia.

I feel relieved to be diagnosed, happy to be in treatment and very grateful to have found the meds that work for me. I'm feeling better than I have in a very long time.

I'm here to help anyone I can in any way I can and to get advice and support as well.
