MDJunction - People Helping People

MDJunction to me

djfilippone"Before I found this site I felt so alone.  Watching my daughter struggle with IH and being treated like she had two heads from doctors.    I have plenty of family and friends but there was nobody that really knew what she was going through.
I not only have support and love from others who will listen and share their
story, but I have made some forever friends.  Having this support site does make a difference to many.

A little about me: Hi, my name is David and I'm 27, live in Asheville NC and have been dealing with lyme since I was 20. I first starting having mental issues and thought I was going crazy. I had constant worrisome thoughts, OCD, anxiety, depression - pretty much develop out of nowhere! For years went on all types of anti-depressents and brain training techniques (e.g. neurofeedback, biofeedback, cognitive behavioral techniques, etc.) Nothing worked. My physical health was getting worse (digestive and bladder issues, constant joint pain, muscle issues, etc.) Then the brain fog came and I had to quit my job and move back to my hometown. That is when I was diagnosed with lyme. I've been doing alternative medicine for a year now and my brain is still a mess. My alternative lyme doc recently told me IV was the next step and thats where I'm at now. Each day is a challenge/struggle but through the love/hope/strength God gives me I will beat this!!!
