| A little about me: | I started having headaches on June 27, 2007. After the standard OTC meds didn't work, I went to a neuro. I have had an MRI, MRV, Spinal tap and countless blood tests - all normal. My neuro put me on Amitriptalyne 30mg/day. I got some relief but never more than about 30%. I had to get off of it because of tachticardia. I then tried Topamax and made it 2 days, I couldn't even walk a straight line on it. He put me back on the amitriptalyne but once again had heart issues and got off. I am now on Noritriptyline, so far I have had very little relief, he has told me to build up to 20mg per day. I am so sick and tired of these headaches. I am tired of people telling me that they have migraines (I only wish). I am not sure what route to go next. My neuro has basically given up on me. I live in Dallas, TX does anyone know a good NPDH specialist here? |
