MDJunction to me

scotty04901"MDJ to me is an added phase in my recovery as a 44 year survivor of a TBI. I hope that with what I have lived through in those years, will be able to help all those who are just now going through. It is important to understand that even after 44 yrs, I am continuing to recover and to evolve. I just hope I can help others." (scotty04901)

a HugI was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome 4th June 2009, as that time I was very ill and just about pulled through.

Since then I’ve had constant blood transfusions; fortunately they have now reduced from 2 a week to 1 every 21 months or so. My consultant’s team keep a close eye on my Hb level.

I also have splenetic Lymphoma, my platelets were 22, but, have risen to 70 still low, the correct level is between 1050 – 450. The hospitals are keeping and eye on this and hope that I can keep my spleen.

At the moment I’m on what the consultants call the ‘watch and wait list’

I continue to feel tired and suffer with muscle pain on a daily basis.

How are you?
